Architecture Walk Fukuoka
A realistic two-hour architecture walk, starting at ACROS Fukuoka at 13:00 and finishing at Canal City Hakata by 15:00. Six nearby stops are arranged to avoid major backtracking and leave time to look at the buildings. All walking times are estimates, not live navigation. 13:00–13:20 ACROS Fukuoka — meet on the Tenjin Central Park side; view the green south façade and atrium. Skip a full terrace climb. 13:20–13:25 Walk to Suikyo Tenmangu Shrine. 13:25–13:32 Suikyo Tenmangu Shrine — a short courtyard visit. 13:32–13:35 Walk to Fukuoka Red Brick Culture Museum. 13:35–13:45 Red Brick Culture Museum — exterior details and photographs. 13:45–13:53 Walk east/southeast via public streets and a bridge toward Kihinkan Hall. 13:53–14:08 Kihinkan Hall — exterior and surrounding grounds. 14:08–14:18 Walk through Nishi-Nakasu toward Hotel Il Palazzo. 14:18–14:28 Hotel Il Palazzo — exterior architecture; hotel interiors require permission. 14:28–14:38 Walk via public river crossings to Canal City Hakata. 14:38–14:50 Canal City — curved façades, central canal and public walkways. 14:50–15:00 Buffer for crossings, photographs, toilets or extra viewing. Finish at Canal City; no return journey is included. This allows 36 minutes for transfers, 74 minutes for viewing and 10 minutes of buffer. Keep visits exterior-focused. Paid interiors, shopping, meals and a full ACROS climb do not fit this schedule. Saved for another visit: Bank of Fukuoka Head Office and Kego Shrine add western detours; Fukuoka Art Museum and THE BASICS FUKUOKA are farther away; Rakusuien would reduce architecture-viewing time; Goh needs separate meal time. These alternatives remain saved in the editing workspace but are excluded from this tour.
